OUR STORY
Why I Started The Long Conversation
In 2001, a difficult journey began when my wife, Chee Ai, suffered a catastrophic injury while pregnant. Following two years in a coma, her mother and I finally brought her home, though she faced the quiet world of someone unable to see, hear, speak, or move the right side of her body.
The next years were dedicated to gently guiding her back. Through daily stimulation and exercises, I had the privilege of teaching her English and Maths anew, starting from the very beginning. Her children sat by her side, reading aloud every day for years. Gradually, heartbeat by heartbeat, she returned to us—remaining present and cherished for twenty-five beautiful years.
While I am not a medical professional, those years gifted me a profound truth: the human spirit blossoms under steady attention, patience, and—most importantly—genuine connection. For Chee Ai, our dialogues were not just a supplement to her healing; they were the very heart of it.
Since Chee Ai’s gentle passing in 2026, I have been reflecting on how i could help others with what i have learned about neuroplasticity - people not only unwell but all of us who get older and want to be sharper. The field has advanced exponentially since 2001 and I have been amazed not only how much we now know about how the brain recovers and fixes itself with the right training.
Life doesnt come with guarantees and nether does this training but with evidence backed data and worldwide recognition i believe we could really help. We are all now in a better place than we were many years ago.
With warmth,
